Using Goodbye Better

Goodbye Better helps you record wishes and organise personal information and arrangements. These terms apply to goodbyebetter.com and your private planning spaces.

The service is in early access. Features may change, and some services described on the website are still being developed. There is no payment or purchase commitment when you create a planning account. Any future paid service must show its price and conditions before you choose it.

Your account and information

Keep your sign-in details secure and use an email address you control. You are responsible for the information you choose to enter. Only share information about other people when you have permission or another appropriate reason to do so.

You retain ownership of your content. You allow us and our service providers to store and process it to provide and protect the service. Our Privacy Notice explains how personal information is handled.

Planning and access

Your planning information is private. Recording a contact or reporting a death does not automatically give anyone access to another person’s information. An existing plan can only be released through its authorised access and verification process.

Planning notes and suggested next steps are general organisational help. They do not replace advice from an appropriate legal, medical, financial or funeral professional, or official guidance for your location. Check important decisions and requirements with the relevant person or authority.

Fair use

Do not use the service unlawfully, impersonate another person, upload material you are not entitled to use, or attempt to access someone else’s information. We may restrict access where necessary to protect people, information or the service.

Availability and your rights

Keep your own copy of information you depend on. We cannot promise uninterrupted access or that a planning note will be acted on by someone else. A saved note is not a legally executed will or a confirmed booking.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot be excluded by law, including your applicable consumer rights. Changes to these terms will be published here, and material changes will be brought to your attention before you continue using the affected service.
